Muchelo Foundation Launches Basic ICT Workshop to Empower 100 Youths

The Muchelo Foundation is set to host a crucial 3-day Basic Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Workshop aimed at equipping 100 local youths with essential digital skills for the modern economy. The initiative is a key part of the foundation’s mandate to bridge the digital divide and foster youth employability and entrepreneurship.

Bridging the Digital Divide

Scheduled to take place from Jan 12 to 15, 2026  at the Community Hall, the workshop is targeted at youths aged [Age Range,  18-35] and is designed to provide a fundamental understanding of the digital landscape.

The training modules will cover practical and relevant skills, including:

• Computer Fundamentals: Mastering operating systems and basic hardware knowledge.

• Digital Productivity Tools: Hands-on training in essential software like [Mention 3 specific tools, e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace].

• Internet Proficiency: Safe and effective use of the internet for research, communication, and learning.

• Basic Digital Marketing: Introduction to using social media and email for business and personal branding.

Danjuma Umar, Funder, Muchelo Foundation emphasized the urgency of digital literacy, stating:

"The global economy is rapidly becoming digital, and we cannot afford to leave our youth behind. This basic ICT workshop is more than just learning to use a computer; it is about providing a launchpad for future careers and entrepreneurial success. We believe that digital fluency is the new literacy, and Muchelo Foundation is committed to providing this foundational skill to our community's youth."

 Registration and Participation

Interested youths are encouraged to register early as spaces are limited.

• Registration Details: Registration is free and can be completed via online form at mcf.org.org/apply, or in-person at the Foundation office.

• Deadline: The deadline for application is a working  personal laptop computer.

• Requirements: Participants must be residents of the local government area, able to attend all sessions.
